Achievement of the Year – HR Development Award 2011

SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 (Malaysia) - OMRON Electronics Sdn Bhd (OEP-MY) had received the Human Resource Development Award (for small, medium size employers in the service sector) on 12 September 2011 at the PSMB (HR Development) 2011 Conference in Sunway Pyramid Convention Center for our efforts in human resource development (HRD).

The event was attended by more than 1,500 participants from all over Malaysia along with more than 80 exhibitors.

Our MD, Mr Tiong Khe Hock and Ms Jeslyn Chiang, Assistant HR Manager received the award from YB Senator Datuk Maznah Bt Mazlan, Deputy Minister of Human Resources. The HR Development Award is the country’s leading event for Recognition of leadership & benchmark HR practice. The award recognizes excellence across the entire spectrum of Human Resources.
 

The criteria used in determining the winners are the HR development policies, training plans, implementation of training plans, training equipment & facilities available & the mechanism for evaluating training and social obligations as corporate citizens. Some other aspects taken into consideration were the management’s commitment towards training & education and the impact of training on the company’s business plans. We join the ranks of other multinational such as Intel Technology, Motorola Technology, Philip Morris, Samsung Electronics who has won the award in the past. We are extremely proud to receive the HR Development award this year!
