"Gen 2" is the latest RFID standard from EPCglobal, the organization that manages UPC numbers and other EPC standards.

Gen 2 Ready

Omron is GEN 2 ready. All Gen 2 products use our patented process called Jomful, which ensures the highest reliability and quality. Using Jomful edge technology, RFID inlays can be mass produced in less time and at lower cost.

What is the Difference?

Omron's inlays are developed based on scientific studies. One of our latest studies focused on analyzing the ratio of moisture levels and water content in various materials. This is important because UHF inlays are easily influenced by the moisture levels and water content of a given material. The results have allowed us to develop high-quality inlays with the best reliability.

V750 Gen 2 Tag Inlay

Omron Gen 2 "Wave" inlays can be used with all international UHF RFID frequencies from 860 to 960 MHz with little or no performance degradation.

Omron "Wave" tag meets a wide range of applications for today's international supply chain needs. Potential applications of the new inlay include tags and labels for use in the electrical appliance and pharmaceutical industries, where the ability to read large shipments of product speedily and simultaneously.
