Sensors with DC Power-supply Specifications of 30 V Max.

1. Use an OMRON S8VS Power Supply or other Class-2, UL-certified power supply for Sensors with power supply specifications of 30 V max.
Class-2 power supplies have output limiting capability that meets the requirements of UL 1310 or UL 1585.
With a Class-2 power supply, it is extremely unlikely that a fire will occur because of the lower amount of energy that is supplied.

2. Sensors with power supply specifications of 30 V max. can be used in the US without UL certification if they are used with a UL-certified Class-2 power supply.

3. Certification has been obtained for the models given in the following table, subject to the condition of use for Class-2 circuits.
